Philadelphia School District

State and City budget cuts have made it difficult for the School District of Philadelphia to implement critical changes that are urgently needed. A startling deficit and broken public school system have put the District on the hot seat in City Council, with parents and taxpayers. Thankfully, a new School Reform Commission and newly-appointed administration leaders are seeking solutions to create real, sustainable change. The William Penn Foundation recently provided funding, through a grant to the United Way of Southeastern PA, for Sage to provide strategic communications counsel to the transformation initiative. The effort to date has been impressive by all partners who are committed to Philadelphia’s children and youth. Sage is proud to have served on the team.
